Busy day for EWR with 9 runners at 4 tracks

We could potentially have a Super Saturday today, with 9 runners taking their chances across the country at 4 race tracks. Friday seems to be our favoured day for pulling it out of the bag and yesterday was no exception. Came From The Dark was very impressive at Haydock, scooting well clear of his rivals under Gerald Mosse and Ginistrelli was given a peach of a ride by Tom Marquand to get up on right up on the line, bringing up a double on the day for us. Iconic Knight and Molls Memory ran their usual solid races, both finishing in 2nd. Fingers crossed our good run of form continues today.

Blackheath is first up in the 2.45pm handicap over 7f at Ascot under Megan Nicholls. He is in great form and is drawn well, he wouldn't want the ground to soften and could run a big race today at a decent price.

Next up is Garbanzo in the 3.35pm handicap over 1m6f at Haydock. He had a go over hurdles last year and won on his first start back on the flat. This is a tough race, but he has been training well and has only been beaten once in handicap company so far so we are very hopeful of a bold show.

Cap Francais then lines up in the Lavazza Stakes at Ascot at 3.55pm He has been gelded since his last run and has been in good form at home. It’s obviously a very competitive handicap, but I never thought this horse would be running in this company, so despite carrying a lot of weight I still think he has every chance.

Fille de Reve and Swindler are next, taking each other on at Ascot over 6f at 4.30pm. Fille de Reve won this race last year off a 1lb higher handicap mark and Swindler was a course and distance winner here earlier in the year so both have a great chance today.

Maygold is our final runner at Haydock for the week and runs in the 4.45pm handicap over 5f. She is a cracking little filly and has been in super form, this looks a good oppertunity for her to land a good prize before hopefully stepping up to Listed company.

Mountain Peak had a bit of a rough race last week and makes a quick reappearance today at Ascot in the 5.05pm 5f handicap. He has been in good shape since then and a return to his best form would see him with a great chance today.

Triggered is next up at Thirsk in the 5f handicap at 5.20pm. He seems to be in the best form he's been in all season at home and if he can transfer his homework to the track he is another one with a chance.

Last but not least is Brigham Young at Kempton at 5.35pm. He ran a cracker here last time and was just beaten at a big price, my only concern today is his bad draw and he will need to overcome that to be in the mix. Hopefully he gets some luck in running.
