Busy day with 5 runners heading to post
It's a busy day today with four runners lining up at Doncaster in the Racing League series races, as well as one runner (St George's Bay) at Sandown.
Tenaya Canyon is in flying form, this looks a tough spot for her however and she won’t be suited by the rain if it comes. Saffie’s 5lbs will be extremely helpful and if she gets her ground I think she could run a huge race.
Duckett’s Grove has obviously been enormously disappointing since returning from Hong Kong and but I’m still hoping today ridden positively he can bounce back to some sort of form. He’s clearly extremely well handicapped having won off of a mark of 92 at Ascot before he left for Hong Kong and he’s only running off 80 today, but his heart does not seem in it when he gets to the racecourse. Let’s hope he can put his best foot forward today in which case he will have a great chance.
Canoodled (pictured) is in flying form and her work has been improving all the time. She is one that would appreciate any rain that falls and she carries very little weight so I’m hopeful of a big run from her.
Jonah Jones has been in very good form for a long time now and looks great. I’m hoping that conditions will be ideal for him tonight at Doncaster and first time Blinkers should be helpful to him, as well as Saffie’s 5lbs. If putting his best foot forward he has an excellent chance of running a big race and picking up some decent prize money.
St George’s Bay looks great and is moving very well. He has so far been a very disappointing horse but I’m hoping with underfoot conditions being more in his favour today that he will bounce back to some kind of form. I don’t quite know what went wrong at Newbury but there really should be no excuses today.
