Friday runners at Sandown and Wolverhampton

We are looking forward to another exciting day and hopefully we can continue our winning form. First up at Sandown,

Peerless (12.45pm) seems to be in cracking form at home. Tom Marquand rides but is drawn in 8 of 8 which is not ideal but he is a talented horse so I look forward to seeing him at Sandown today.

Production (2.55pm) looks a picture of health and I couldn’t be happier with him at home. He steps up to a mile today and will wear cheekpieces for the first time so hopefully he can put his best foot forward.

Red Naomi (4.35pm) has been training well since her encouraging run at Windsor almost 3 weeks ago. She is an improving filly but she has not been handed the kindest of opening handicap marks. This looks a wide open contest however I think the track will really suit her and I expect to see her staying on well at the finish.

Over at Wolverhampton,

Semper Augustus (5.20pm) seems to be in very good order. He is drawn well in 3 and I am dropping him back from 7f to 6f which I think will suit given he will be much sharper for that debut run where he was very green. I am sure he will be more streetwise this time and hopefully he can make a big step forward.

Best of luck to connections and thanks to the travelling team on the road today in the heat. Pictured below is Semper Augustus who will definitely be needing a cool down today!
