Friday runners
We have four runners today at Newbury, Newmarket and Nottingham.
First up at Newbury, Kindness is improving and we have given her time between races. This looks a warm race but not super hot for a Newbury Novice so I am hoping that she can make a big step forward from her debut.
Semper Augustus (pictured) lines up in the Apprentice race. He is looking and training well and I am looking forward to seeing him over a mile and a quarter today at Newbury. It is an open race but looks a good opportunity for him if he stays the trip and I am very hopeful that he can get his head back in front. His race at York was not ideal by any stretch as they went far too slowly for him so hopefully he will be seen in a much better light today.
At Newmarket this evening, Miss Scaletta heads to post in the 6.38pm Handicap. He has been training well and I am hoping that she can leave that disappointing run at Wolverhampton behind her. I am hoping back on decent ground she will have a good chance of getting back to winning ways with William Buick on board.
True Scarlet heads to Nottingham this afternoon. She is very well and I am hoping back on grass she can bounce back to form after that disappointing run at Newcastle. It looks a competitive race but hopefully she can get her head back in front.
