Starman heads to France this weekend for the Prix Maurice De Gheest

We continued winning ways last night with Kawida winning impressively at Haydock, congratulations to Miss Kirsten Rausing and the team at home. We have a big and exciting weekend ahead with a total of four runners.

Starman has made the trip to Deauville for the Prix Maurice de Gheest Group 1 tomorrow. Tom Marquand takes the ride and we are very much looking forward to seeing him back on the track.

This afternoon at Ascot, both Popmaster and Temple Bruer line up in the Shergar Cup Sprint Handicap.

Temple Bruer is really fresh and well in himself and ready to run. I am obviously concerned about the ground today but as long as it is not too soft I think it is worth a shot as it is such good prize money. Ciaron Fallon takes the ride and hopefully he can convince him to put his best foot forward in which case we know he is capable of winning off his mark.

Popmaster came out of his win at Doncaster really well and I don’t think the race took much out of him. I am pleased to have Adam Kirby on board and the stiff 6f should be ideal so fingers crossed he can pick up what is a nice pot.

Up at Haydock, Stormy Antarctic is in flying form and I can’t wait to see him today over 10 furlongs on what is likely to be very soft ground. He has been moving as well as ever this year and is full of all the enthusiasm he has ever had. It is great to get Richard Kingscote back on boar so I am very hopeful of a big run.

Best of luck all!
