4 runners today at Newmarket & York

We have four runners across two meetings today, American Star & Tenaya Canyon head to Newmarket and Popmaster & Speranzoso line up at York.

American Star has gone in his coat slightly but looks well otherwise and I think this is a great opportunity for him today to continue winning ways. He was impressive last time at Newbury and I think the track and ground should be ideal for him and I would love to see him win this before hopefully stepping up in grade again.

Tenaya Canyon looks fantastically well given the time of year and I think she’s got a great chance in this wide open Listed race. She’s in great form at home and it would be a fantastic way to round off what has been a very good year for her by getting some valuable Black Type.

Popmaster (pictured) looks well and I’m looking forward to seeing him line up in this valuable handicap. The Ayr Gold Cup was a disappointing run, but we are leaving the blinkers off this time and if he puts his best foot forward then I think he has got a cracking chance of being up there at the finish.

Speranzoso is very well in himself and I hope to see him take a step forward today on what we have already seen. He’s a big horse and is probably one for next year once he’s filled his big frame.
