A big weekend ahead

We have an exciting weekend ahead with 6 runners across four meetings.

Popmaster goes back to Ascot today where I am hoping for a bit more luck than we have had in his previous two visits. It looks a good opportunity for a Class 2 Handicap and I am obviously thrilled to have Ryan on board. Royal Scimitar is a live danger and is dropping back from Listed company. He obviously finished in front of us in the Shergar Cup when things didn’t go our way, but finished behind us at Newmarket when things didn’t go his way so I think they are quite evenly matched and a lot of this race will depend on who gets the best trip.

Starman is in great form and I cant wait to see him run in The Betfair Sprint Cup today on his ideal ground. It looks a great opportunity for him and hopefully he can get the job done.

Mountain Peak also lines up at Haydock. He seems to be in very good form at home. He is a very fresh and happy horse at the moment and I am looking forward to seeing him run on what will be very fast ground at Haydock today. I still believe that running off 100 is very tough but these conditions will suit him ideally and in the absence of Andrea I am thrilled to have Tom on board. It looks a very competitive race but I wouldn’t be surprised to see him go very close on very fast ground.

At Kempton, Mount Mogan in great order and I am expecting a big run today on the all-weather which we know he handles well.  He is on a mark that he is more than capable winning off so fingers crossed he puts his best foot forward in which case he should go close.

Great Ambassador and Kindess head to York tomorrow. Best of luck to all the team and owners this weekend!
