A busy Friday with 5 runners
We have an exciting day with 5 runners at Ayr, Kempton and Newbury.
Tenaya Canyon has made the trip up to Ayr yesterday ahead of her first Listed race. She is really well and I couldn’t be happier with how she’s been working since her last run. She looks fantastic, especially given the time of year and I am hopeful of a big run today .The ground should be suitable and I think five and a half furlongs is her most ideal trip so hopefully she can make a good start to her career at pattern level.
At Newbury, American Star has been training really well, his work has been good and I’m really looking forward to seeing him in nursery company, it does look a very warm race with some very well bred and unexposed horses in opposition, but the trip will be much more to his liking as will the ground so I am expecting a big run.
Matthew Flinders seems well in himself and his work has been good so hopefully he is at his best in which case I think he can be very competitive in a race like this. The ground should be ideal and although it’s a warm race I’ve always believed he is up to this grade.
This evening at Kempton:
Dream A Little looks fantastic and I’m looking forward to seeing her back on track today. She’s got a good draw and I think the trip will suit her so I am hoping for a good return to action.
Crocus came out of her disappointing run at Chepstow very well but the ground was horribly fast that day and I think she will be much more at home at Kempton on the all-weather. She ran there on debut and has come a long way since then so I think she will run a big race in what doesn’t look to be the strongest of contests.
Best of luck to all connecctions and the team today! Pictured below is Tenaya Canyon who runs for The Racegoers Club.
