A busy weekend ahead
We have an exciting weekend 7 runners.
King Of Jungle heads to Newmarket for the 3.07pm. He seemed to have come out of his Windsor race well and hopefully he can run a big race if he faces the blinkers and they do their job as we hope they well.
Random Harvest lines up in the 4.45pm Handicap at Ascot. This is quite a big ask coming back here having run at the Royal meeting as well, however she looks well and Elouise who rides her everyday is happy with her. Saffie obviously knows her inside out and she is going to have to step up again to win this as there are some very progressive, unexposed 3yo types such as her Majesty’s horse Saga. I am sure she will give a good account for herself and hopefully she can continue her progression.
Mountain Peak looks fantastic but it’s going to be tough off 108 in the Garrard Handicap today at Ascot. Ryan Moore takes the ride and fingers crossed he can perform as he did last time out.
Meleagant heads to Lingfield in the 5.40pm and will wear a red hood to post. Hopefully the step up in trip will bring about some improvement back on the all-weather.
Speranzoso also makes the trip to Lingfield for the 8.40pm. I think he has a fair level of ability but we won’t see it until he learns to behave himself so let’s hope tomorrow he puts his best foot forward.
Haseef heads to Salisbury this evening for the 6.30pm Handicap. This looks a great opportunity for him despite the very fast ground but we will give it a go and learn something at the very least. It will be interesting to see him over a stiff 5f so fingers crossed he can finally get off the mark.
Tomorrow at Chelmsford I am looking forward to seeing Desert Doctor back over 6 on the all-weather where we know he performs so well and Luke knows him also. The draw is manageable so fingers crossed he runs a big race in what is a good pot.
Best of luck to all connections this weekend!
