A busy weekend with 8 runners
Not only do we have two International runners this weekend (see previous news post), we also have numerous runners across the UK keeping the team busy and on the road!
Inflamed heads to Chelmsford and has his first go on the all-weather today in the 2pm Nursery Handicap. I’m hopeful he will show us more than he has done on the turf so far.
At Newmarket, Fille de Reve runs in the Listed Stakes at 3.55pm. She is working as well as ever and we’re having a shot at a Listed race in the hope she can get that all important Black Type. The fast ground over 6f will be ideal for her, but she has been unexplainably disappointing so far this year. Fingers crossed she can get back on track.
Over at Windsor:
Starfighter is in good form and this looks a great opportunity to get his head in front today in the 4.40pm at Windsor. He has been running well but keeps running in to one, so hopefully this will be his day.
Thunder Flash makes his racecourse debut in the 5.15pm Novice. He makes his debut and is a smart little horse. I hope he will show us some promise and put in a solid run today.
Iconic Knight also runs in the 5.50pm Handicap. He is in great form and a repeat of his effort at York last time out should see him go very close.
Last but not least, Jack d’Or is really well and heads for the 7.50pm Handicap. He’s has been pretty consistent all year so far and will appreciate the conditions today. He is coming back in trip, which may or may not be a good thing but this looks as good a opportunity for him as any to try and get in to the winners enclosure.
