An exciting weekend ahead

We have an exciting weekend with two runners at Royal Ascot and two Listed runners at Ayr and Pontefract.

Today at Royal Ascot, Great Ambassador lines up in the Group 1 Platinum Jubilee under Richard Kingscote. He looks fantastic and I’m extremely excited to see him run today. It’s obviously an unbelievably competitive race being a Group 1 with 26 opponents. He is in my mind very much up to this level, but first time out after a long break is a big ask, but I’m very happy with him and can’t wait to see him back on track.

Popmaster looks great and lines up in The Wokingham under Tom Marquand. He is fresh and happy and took his Chelmsford run his his stride. I’m pleased Tom is on board and today will be interesting to see how the track bias looks but it could potentially be a poor draw. Quite a lot of the fancied runners are drawn low but we just need something to take us into the race. I think this stiff 6 furlongs will be ideal for him and there is pace on our side so hopefully there won’t be much of a bias

Tenaya Canyon made the trip up to Ayr yesterday morning to beat the heat. She seems extremely well in herself and I’m very much looking forward to seeing her run today. She ran a solid race there last autumn and I think this is a perfect spot for her to hopefully earn her first stakes win. Paul Mulrennan will ride again having ridden her last year at this track and it looks a very open Listed race.

Tomorrow, Glenartney heads to Pontefract for the Listed Fillies Stakes. She looks a picture and is in very good form. This is a great opportunity for her at Pontefract and any rain that falls will be a bonus. There are not a huge amount of options for her coming up immediately so I think we have to have a go and try and get that all important Stakes win under our belt.

Best of luck to all owners on a big weekend! Pictured below is Great Ambassador.
