Final day of the turf season
We have a busy Saturday with 6 runners at Doncaster to end the turf season.
King Alfred looks fantastic and I’ve been very happy with him since his run at Newbury where he ran with promise. It looks a competitive race with William Haggas’ horse showing up well on debut at Newbury when he finished in front of us and I expect he will be the favourite.
Glenartney's work has been very pleasing and I think the ground is going to be very testing which will suit her. I would love there to be a bit more rain so that they are getting through the ground better but hopefully she can get the job done and we can look forward to next year when I think she is going to be even better.
Molls Memory was awesome at Newbury last time and I’m looking forward to seeing her have a go at a Listed race again. It’s going to be tough, taking on some battle hardened sprinters but it’s going to be very testing ground so I’m hoping that she will be finishing strong and at least pick up a place.
Mr Zero has been improving slowly and should be ok on the ground which will be soft. He has ability but will not be at his best until next year.
True Scarlet aims for some black type which is ambitious but very valuable if she can get it.
Hafeet Alain is in great shape and I am looking forward to seeing him run after such a promising return to action. I am slightly concerned the race may come soon enough but it is his last chance on grass so worth a go.
Best of luck to all connections and the team!
