Four runners head to Newbury and Kempton today
Today we have a busy day with four runners:
HOTSY TOTSY - Newbury, 5.50pm Maiden Fillies, 7f.
CAPRIOLETTE - Kempton, 5.40pm H'Cap, 1m.
CAME FROM THE DARK - Kempton, 6.15pm Novice, 6f.
PADMAVATI - Kempton, 7.15pm Fillies H'Cap, 1m4f.
See below for Ed's pre race thoughts on today's runners:
Hotsy Totsy is a half sister to Betty The Thief who we used to train. She is a slow maturing type and will most likely need further than the 7f at Newbury this afternoon but she is making into a good looking filly and we are hopeful that she can have a progressive season.
Capriolette has been very disapointing since breaking her maiden earlier in the year at Lingfield. She boiled over at Doncaster having not had a great experience at Kempton the time before so we are hopeful that today she can get back on track and behave herself in the preliminaries which should help her run to her best.
Came From The Dark (photo) was unlucky not to win at Newbury last year. He has done very well through the winter and we think he is potentially quite a smart sprinter in the making.
Padmavati was very babyish last year mentally and physically. She has done well through the winter and is stepping up markedly in trip. She will wear a hood to help her settle and therefore stay the distance which she is bred to.
Best of luck to all connections and thank you to our travelling team on the road today, Monika, Elda, Jess, Sammy and Surrenda.
