Great Ambassador and Popmaster line up today

We have a reasonably quiet weekend with two runners. Our final runner of the week at the Goodwood meeting is the much loved Great Ambassador in the Steward's Cup.  I can’t wait to see him run  in this race although I would love the ground to be a bit quicker and the draw to be a bit higher. However, I think he is capable of overcoming both of these obstacles and we have the services of a brilliant and very in-form jockey in William Buick. 

Popmaster makes the trip up to Doncaster for the 4.02pm Handicap. He seems in great form and looks a picture of health. He should have won last time he went here and also ran a super race at Newmarket last time out but just didn’t quite have the cover and targets which I think he really requires to be at his best. He is capable of winning a race like this although there are some horses in form in opposition but he is definitely still on an upward curve.
