Kawida battles it out to gain black-type

Kawida put in a tough performance on Saturday to win the Listed British Stallion Studs EBF Montrose Fillies' Stakes under Tom Marquand at Newmarket. Congratulations to Miss Kirsten Rausing and all at Lanwades Stud. She is an exciting filly and it was great to gain that all important black-type with her as a 2-year-old.

The legend and 8yr old Stormy Antarctic ran yet another blinder to come 2nd in The Listed Ben Marshall Stakes on Saturday also. He continues to show all of his enthusiasm and it was a great ride by Oisin Murphy.

Today we have two runners at Kempton, Beloved and Sky Bright at Kempton.

Beloved has been working very well and I think the step up in trip will be ideal for her. I am hoping she will put in a good performance today and if at her best could be very competitive.

Sky Bright continues to be in great order and lines up today in what looks a competitive race, but one in which I think she has got every chance. She’s won three of her last four starts and I’m hoping she can go in again today.
