Monash and Verify run at Pontefract today

Our two runners today have made their way up to Pontefract:

Monash (4.25pm) looks fantastic and came out of his Windsor debut very well. It was only just over two weeks ago, but the one piece of work he has done since then was significantly better and this looks a great spot for him so I think it’s worth a shot. Pontefract is a difficult track for an in-experienced horse though and we don’t have a great draw in 9. He’s a horse who is undoubtedly going to improve with time.

Verify (5pm) is in flying form and I’ve been very pleased with his work since his frustrating run at Doncaster, I think coming back in trip and the stiff nature of Pontefract will really suit him. He has to take on some progressive un-exposed 3yo types but he is more than capable of winning a race of this nature should he settle well and put his best foot forward at the business end of things.

Pictured below is Monash with Monika who rides him regularly at home.
