Three runners across three meetings today

Today we have three runners at three different meetings. Stormy Antarctic also left last night for his trip to Germany for the Munich Group 1 (more to follow tomorrow for Ed’s thoughts). He is in the capable hands of our Travelling Head Lad Gary and his Groom Westy. Fingers crossed they have a safe and smooth journey and we will hear more when they arrive!

Mountain Peak heads to Ascot this afternoon for the 4.45pm handicap under Liam Keniry. He bounced back to form at Newmarket last time and has been in great form since. This is a course and distance where he has been successful before and the ground is ideal for him, he would need to produce a career best performance to win here today.

Iconic Knight makes the trip up to York for the 6.30pm Handicap over 6f. He has been in cracking form since his last run, we have a York specialist in Paul Hanagan on board and I’m hoping that he will run a big race in what looks a wide open Sprint Handicap.

Baba Ghanouj runs at Newmarket this evening at 7.10pm over 1 mile. She was disappointing last time out but I hope that bringing her back to a mile on fast ground tonight will show a much improved performance.

Best of luck to all connections today and the team on the road!
