Three runners at Newbury today
We are looking forward to an exciting day at Newbury with three runners this afternoon.
King Alfred lines up in the 1.38pm Maiden. He looks fantastic and I think he will strip fitter for his debut run. The ground will be very testing today so I’m glad we went for the shorter trip and I’m fascinated to see how he will run in the tongue-tie. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him make a big step forward so fingers crossed.
Tidal Storm looks a picture of health and I think has improved a lot for his debut. I’m hoping he will be a bit sharper in to his stride in which case I can see him running a big race. He’s been working well and I think he can take a big step forward after what was a very encouraging start at Salisbury.
Molls Memory looks fantastic and I can’t wait to see her back in handicap company on her favoured heavy ground. This is the perfect spot for her and I’m thrilled to have Tom on board so hopefully she can get back to winning ways. Her record at Newbury is 2/3 and both times over 7f on heavy ground so let’s hope she can do it again.
Best of luck to all connections! Pictured below is the striking Molls Memory
