A double on Friday at Ascot
The great form of the yard continues and we had a brilliant double yesterday at Ascot. Dreamloper put in a very impressive performance to win the Group 3 Valiant Stakes. She showed a serious turn of foot and it was a great result to gain that important black type. Huge congratulations to her owner breeder Mrs Olivia Hoare and Mr Fill, and well done to Molly who rides her everyday and has done such a brilliant job with her.
Shortly after, Mountain Peak recorded his 9th win for us under Andrea Atzeni in the Class 2 5f Handicap. He is now our most winning horse and is such a legend. Many congratulations to his owners Ebury Racing and the team!
We hope to continue this winning streak this weekend with four exciting runners today.
We return to Ascot with Matthew Flinders in the 3pm International Stakes. He is really well and came out of his Chester race in good shape and I think he’s got an enormous chance if reproducing that form. It’s a good pot to aim at and he’s drawn 20/22 so who knows whether that is a good or bad but hopefully he will run another solid race.
Up at York, Reina Del Mar runs in the 5pm Handicap. She is getting better and better all the time and I can’t wait to see her back on the track today. Any rain would be welcome and I’m hopeful that she can get back to winning ways, she’s been an unlucky filly and has done very little wrong in her career so far and the future is very exciting for her.
Beloved is in great form and York and this trip should be ideal for her. I’m hoping that she can break her Maiden here today because she certainly has the ability to do so on her homework.
And finally at Salisbury, American Star has his 3rd start. He looks awesome and is another I’m excited about getting back on the track. He’s such a good moving horse I don’t think he will want it too soft so hopefully there won’t be too much rain throughout the day. He is progressing nicely and further progression should see him finish in front today.
Best of luck to owners Stuart Stuckey and David Ward today. Pictured below is Molly and her beloved Dreamloper yesterday!
